Who is DeQH for?

  • Primarily self-identified South Asian LGBTQ+ individuals in the United States
  • “South Asian” includes individuals with heritage of the South Asian subcontinent or diasporic communities such as the Caribbean, Fiji, eastern and southern Africa, and beyond
  • “LGBTQ+” includes individuals who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, nonbinary, queer, questioning, pansexual, intersex, kothi, hijra, and beyond

What kind of peer support?

  • Connect with someone who has similar shared experiences and have a one-time open conversation about your experiences
  • Discuss thoughts or questions around topics such as gender, sexuality, coming out, and/or dealing with family, culture, and faith
  • Find community in your area and virtually, or support an LGBTQ+ friend or family member​

Trained volunteers are available to talk between:
  • Thursdays, 8-10 PM Eastern (5-7 PM Pacific)
  • Sundays, 8-10 PM Eastern (5-7 PM Pacific)
